Thru-hull fittings made from inferior materials corrode from the inside out, often failing silently until water ingress becomes a serious problem. This fitting is machined from 316 stainless steel — the same alloy used in offshore marine hardware — with a flanged base that seats firmly against the hull and a barbed hose tail for a secure hose connection without clamp slippage.
